Dr. Benjamin Muller, Associate Professor in Interdisciplinary Programs at King’s, is the recipient of a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Insight Grant for a collaborative study, Securing the Border with Data: Canada’s Expanding Digital Frontier.
This year’s recipients of the Research Excellence Awards, including the inaugural Distinguished University Professor Designation, the Hugh Mellon Excellence in Research Award, King’s Research Excellence Chair – Early Career and the King’s Research Excellence Scholar Grants were introduced as part of a special event on April 27, 2023.
Dr. Stephanie Baird is the co-recipient of a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Knowledge Synthesis Grant ($29,931) that aims to increase understanding of gender-based violence among disabled women, with the goal of informing social services to better meet their needs.
Dr. Loretta Norton is part of a project that received a Project Grant from CIHR for developing techniques aims to predict recovery of consciousness and cognition of brain-injured patients.
Dr. Stephanie Baird and Dr. Jordan Fairbairn received an (SSHRC) Insight Development Grant for their joint project on the connections between intimate partner violence (IPV) and trauma.
Dr. Tom Malleson has received a SSRHC grant for their project that looks to determine if allowing workers to elect part of governing boards of large firms would work in Canada.
